OBITUARY

Paul J. Dawson, 84 of Beallsville, PA passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, May 12, 2015.
He was born December 19, 1930 in Brownsville, PA a son of the late Paul W. and Helen Miller Dawson.
Mr. Dawson was a 1948 graduate of Bentleyville High School. 
For 43 years, Mr. Dawson was employed by the Columbia Gas Corporation, retiring in 1990. He had worked in warehouses located in Brownsville and Charleroi and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. 
He was a very active, long time member of the Beallsville United Methodist Church serving as a Trustee for many years and a member of the Church Administrative Board. Mr. Dawson was also a board member of the Beallsville Civic Association and a former, long time councilman for Beallsville Borough and was a former member of the South Brownsville Volunteer Fire Department. 
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening and square dancing. He was president of the Rudy Mountain Hunting Club located in Huntington County. 
Always active in community events, he will be remembered as hardworking and always on the go and willing to help anyone that he could.
On May 2, 1953 he married Patricia L. Clutter Dawson who survives. They celebrated 62 years of marriage.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sister, Joanne Adams of New Salem, PA and Lori Lee Dolak (Paul) of Beallsville, PA; grandson, William “JR” Foutz (Bobbi Jo) of Centerville, PA; four great grandchildren, Destiny, Georgia, Sarah and William Paul Foutz and several nieces and nephews. 
Deceased in addition to his parents is a nephew, Marc Alan Dolak. 

Friends will be received Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, PA where funeral services will be held Monday, May 18, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Max Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery, Beallsville, PA. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Beallsville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 136, Beallsville, PA 15313.
